Voting and Proxies

Decisions at the General Assembly can be taken by consensus or by voting.  Each Member Association will have one vote.

At registration in India, Member Associations will be asked to identify the delegate from their Member Association who will vote on behalf of the Member Association.

Voting will be anonymous and conducted by ballot. Where voting takes place, simple majority vote must be achieved to signal the approval of the Member Associations.

In the event that no delegates of a Member Association are able to attend the General Assembly, that Member Association should register for the General Assembly and will be required to give proxy to another Member Association of their choice present in the meeting room to exercise their vote.

The proxy form must be duly filled and signed and submitted to the Secretariat (ippfreform@ippf.org) by 25th November 2019.

No Member Association shall hold more than one proxy. Delegates for a Member Association with proxy will be given two ballot papers.

Remote participation

For individual delegates who have been denied visas or have compelling reasons for not joining, the reform team will support remote participation. All delegates who want to participate need to formally register online.
