أعزائي أسرة الاتحاد الدولي لتنظيم الأسرة،
بعد الأسبوع الاستثنائي والتاريخي للاتحاد الذي قضاه في دلهي، يسرني أن أتواصل معكم بصفتي رئيس للجنة الانتقالية، التي أنشأها مجلس الإدارة في اجتماعه في الفترة من 1 إلى 3 ديسمبر 2019 لتولي زمام عملية تنفيذ الإصلاحات التي أوصت بها الجمعية العامة وأيدها بالإجماع مجلس الإدارة. لقد عبرتم عن رؤية واضحة لنظام الحوكمة وتخصيص الموارد في الاتحاد في المستقبل، ونشعر بالحاجة المحلة التي غرستموها لدفع عجلة هذا التغيير.
تضم اللجنة الانتقالية سبعة أعضاء، اثنان منهم من الشباب وواحد منهم سيكون فردًا خارج الاتحاد، على النحو التالي:
السيد أندرياس براغر (الرئيس)، عضو مجلس الإدارة
السيدة ويماراما ماتينا، عضوة شابة في مجلس الإدارة
السيدة تريسي روبنسون، عضو مجلس الإدارة والمستشارة الخارجية
الدكتور شارمان ستون، عضو مجلس الإدارة والمستشار الخارجي
السيدة إستير فيسنتي، رئيسة لجنة المالية والتدقيق في لدى الاتحاد
السيدة ديوتي كريشنان، متطوعة شابة من جمعية تنظيم الأسرة في الهند
عضو خارجي (يحدد لاحقا)
وستشارك السيدة أيلين ماكولجان، المستشار القانوني الفخري لدى الاتحاد، كعضو بحكم منصبه في اللجنة الانتقالية. عند اختيار السيدة ديوتي كريشنان للمشاركة في اللجنة الانتقالية، أعرب مجلس الإدارة عن رغبته في تكريم الضيافة الاستثنائية والعمل الشاق المبذول من جانب المتطوعين الشباب الذين ساندونا جميعًا خلال فترة وجودنا في الهند. بصفتنا لجنة، نقوم بتوظيف عضو خارجي سيساعد على جلب المهارات الهامة ومنظور خارجي لعملنا، ونتوقع أن يكون هذا الشخص في منصبه في الأسابيع القليلة المقبلة.
تتمثل مهمتنا في المضي قدما بسرعة في توصيات الإصلاح التي قدمتموها جماعياً في الجمعية العامة، وصولاً إلى الاجتماع الأول لمجلس أمناء الاتحاد الجديد، والذي نتوقع انعقاده في يوليو 2020. خلال هذا الوقت، نلتزم باطلاع أصحاب المصلحة في جميع أنحاء الاتحاد بما يتم بشفافية والتشاور مع الجمعية العامة عند الحاجة، وعلى هذا النحو سنقوم بتوسيع وتمديد منصات الاتصالات التي تم إنشاؤها خلال المرحلة الأولى من الإصلاحات. خلال الأشهر الستة المقبلة، سنتخذ الخطوات اللازمة لتمكين الانتقال السلس إلى هيكل إدارة جديد، مع انتخاب مجلس أمناء جديد في الاجتماع المقبل لمجلس الإدارة في مايو 2020. في نفس الوقت، سنضع الأساس لتطوير صيغة ونظام جديد لتخصيص الموارد يأخذ في الاعتبار المشكلات التي حددتموها كمفتاح لنموذج جديد.
